The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded three small earthquakes near Perry in northern Oklahoma — including one measured at magnitude 4.0.
The Noble County Sheriff's Office says there are no reports of injury or damage.
The U.S.G.S. reports that a 4.0 magnitude quake was recorded at 5:08 a.m. Saturday; a magnitude 3.0 quake was recorded at 2:57 p.m. and a magnitude 3.5 temblor was recorded a minute later at 2:58 p.m.
The area is about 60 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
Another quake of magnitude 2.9 was recorded at 5:58 a.m. about 30 miles northwest of Enid.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans and damage is not likely in quakes below magnitude 4.0.
