Join us for the First Annual Norman Native Plant Festival - Celebrating Local Growers, Pollinators, and Gardens!
Lovers of butterflies, bees, and gardens unite to raise beneficial and beautiful gardens from 10am-4pm Sat. April 13th in East Downtown Norman at STASH, 412 E. Main St. Admission to this family-friendly event is free and includes offerings from local fresh food trucks and live music from local bluegrass and reggae bands.
The Norman Native Plant Festival's first annual event will showcase six local growers who are part of the Oklahoma Native Plant Network (ONPN). These knowledgeable growers will offer a wide variety of hearty plants that are indigenous to central Oklahoma.
Visitors can also check out educational booths from related non-profit organizations such as the Oklahoma Native Plant Society, Okies for Monarchs, Wild Care, and others who are invested in the native plant community.
In addition, six local nurseries that specialize in native Oklahoma plants will be selling their products in the festival. So, it's an excellent opportunity for plant enthusiasts to get their hands on some unique and high-quality plants while learning more about the native plant community.

This event will feature Canadian County Master Gardener Carolyn Balson, who will present a thorough introduction to implementing drip irrigation in your garden, including demonstrations with hardware. The event will include time for Q&A and a walk in the Mollie Spencer Farm vegetable garden!

Join us on April 20th for our Spring Open House! The Farm will be open from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. for folks to visit and learn more about what we do on the Farm. During a self-guided tour, attendees will be able to visit our pollinator garden, vegetable garden, pond, and apiary and say hello to our sheep, donkeys, horses, and longhorns. Light refreshments will be available.

Join us on May 18th for a Coffee & Conversation event focusing on water ecology! Local experts will discuss aquatic ecosystems and how plants and animals interact with each other in rivers, streams, and ponds. Mollie Spencer Farm staff will also speak about the improvements made at the farm to benefit the aquatic ecosystem on the property. The event will include time for Q&A and a walk around the Mollie Spencer Farm pond!
