Oklahoma historian Bob Blackburn and landscape architect Brian Dougherty have teamed up on a new book, Parks of Oklahoma City: A History, published by Kirkpatrick Publishing LLC. Parks of Oklahoma City is more than just a visually rich, historic portrayal of the city’s most prized possessions. It’s the story about our shared spaces — the places between the buildings — where residents come together as one. Hear the authors speak from 9:30 to 10 about how parks came to be in Oklahoma City — and how they remain beautiful and vibrant centers for our community. Full Circle Bookstore will be selling books, and the authors will be available to sign them.
