Oklahoma's largest and only Oscar-Qualifying film festival returns to OKC this June. From June 10th to 14th and held at various venues around the city, this festival offers filmmakers and enjoyers alike an opportunity to network and check out the newest documentaries and short films.
The festival opens Wednesday the 10th with a Red Carpet Ceremony in Bricktown that is open to the public, followed by the Okie Shorts screenings and an opening night afterparty.

SoonerCon returns to Norman this June! One of Oklahoma's largest and longest running sci-fy conventions, this year's convention features guests such as comic book artists Travis Mercer and Sam de la Rosa, voice actors Alexis Tipston and Erica Mendez, and many more!Each day brings a new lineup of vendors, workshops, and Q+As. This all-ages convention will also feature kid-specific activities like a childrens costume contest, live performances, and tabletop gaming. Enjoy a cocktail while visiting your favorite Oklahoma City Zoo animal inhabitants during Sip & Stroll. This special event in May and June invites adults to explore the zoo after hours, discovering wildlife while sipping delicious drinks and enjoying tasty bites. During the event, guests are invited to embark on a “conservation quest” unlocked via QR codes. Successful completion enters guests in a drawing to win a “Wild Encounter,” where they can get up close and personal with bears, Galapagos tortoises, Indian rhinos, Komodo dragons, Red River hogs and Asian elephants.

The 2026 Hemmings Great Race, a nine-day rally featuring 120 antique and classic vehicles, will make a stop at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum on June 22. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Route 66, the 2,300-mile event travels from Springfield, Illinois, to Pasadena, California, with 17 stops across eight states and visits to many iconic landmarks along the historic highway.
