Join us for a bite-sized adventure for school holidays. Our Explorers Day Camps transform a simple day off into an unforgettable educational adventure. Whether digging into paleontology, unraveling ancient mysteries, or stepping into the shoes of a scientist, campers will experience the museum in a whole new way—full of excitement, creativity, and discovery. Explorers Camp is where learning meets fun, new friends are made, and young minds embark on a journey they’ll never forget!
Registration opens July 29.
Cost per day: $55 (Member youth) and $70 (Non-Member youth).
Sep 07 Sunday
Designed for ages 8-12 | Inspired by Ansel Adams’s iconic black-and-white landscapes, students will use charcoal and pastel to explore dramatic contrasts, atmospheric perspective, and compositional depth. Through guided exercises and reference imagery, registrants will learn to capture the emotion and structure of natural landscapes using only black, white, and gray. This class is perfect for artists who want to develop a deeper understanding of tone and the power of simplicity in landscape art.
Sep 26 Friday
Experience the sights, sounds, and creatures that emerge at water’s edge as day turns to night. We’ll meet at the museum to learn about creatures that come out each evening and then caravan in personal vehicles to a Norman park to see and hear them for ourselves! This program is suited for ages 5 and up..
Registration is required for each participant. Participants aged 17 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult.
