The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon honors the victims of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing tragedy and celebrates the gift of life. Join over 26,000 participants in the upcoming Boston qualifying USATF sanctioned event.The course begins at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and winds through downtown, Bricktown, past the State Capitol, through northeast Oklahoma City and through some of the city’s most beautiful and historic neighborhoods. Crowds of spectators line the course to cheer on runners. Along the way, runners will see 168 banners, each bearing the name of one of those killed in the Oklahoma City bombing. Participate in the classic marathon, half marathon, quarter marathon, 5K, or Senior Marathon. Children from 6th grade and below are encouraged to join in the Kid's Marathon. Participants can also take on a variety of unique challenges for prizes and bragging rights, like running two races in two days, two marathons in a year or running faster than the governor’s team. All race results will be posted on the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon website.

Oklahoma City University presents Twisted Tales, a solo ceramics exhibition by artist Stuart Asprey. The show will be on display March 5 through May 14 at the Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery. The exhibition features two bodies of work that transform ceramic vessels into graphic storytelling pieces exploring memory, pop culture, and myth. An opening reception will be held March 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is free.

Known as Oklahoma City's annual "rite of spring," the Festival of the Arts is a six-day community celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts. A local tradition since 1967, Festival of the Arts features creative works by artists from across the nation.The Festival of the Arts is also famous for its International Food Row. Guests can choose between sampling delicious ethnic food or staying with tried-and-true festival favorites after browsing through the unique artwork. Enjoy nonstop performing arts and entertainment, as well as street performers roaming the grounds. In addition, kids can complete hands-on crafts in the Children's Art Field area for a small fee.
