The Oklahoma Animal Coalition is asking Oklahomans to turn off non-essential outdoor lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. during spring migration season (March 15-May 31). Excessive outdoor lighting confuses birds as they migrate through the state, separating them from their flocks, causing collisions with buildings and powerlines, and getting lost in dangerous environments. Oklahoma City University presents Twisted Tales, a solo ceramics exhibition by artist Stuart Asprey. The show will be on display March 5 through May 14 at the Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery. The exhibition features two bodies of work that transform ceramic vessels into graphic storytelling pieces exploring memory, pop culture, and myth. An opening reception will be held March 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is free.

The House District 85 Democratic Primary Pancake Breakfast will take place Saturday, April 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Crown Heights United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. This event will bring together Democratic candidates Braxton Banks, Estefania Gruenstein, and Chelsey Branham ahead of the June primary, offering voters an opportunity to meet the candidates, hear their perspectives, and ask questions in an informal setting.
Hosted by local Democratic precinct officers, the event is open to the public, with donations benefiting the Oklahoma County Democratic Party.
