This year, "The Triumph of Nature: Art Nouveau from the Chrysler Museum of Art," opening at the Museum on October 31, sets the stage for both the 50th annual Renaissance Ball and Late Night. The exhibition brings together Art Nouveau treasures from the rich holdings of the Chrysler Museum of Art, drawing primarily from the gifts of Walter P. and Jean Chrysler, whose homes once served as showrooms for these extraordinary works.

Science Museum Oklahoma presents Spin! The Art of the Modern Zoetrope, now on display in the museum’s smART Space galleries through August 2027. The exhibition features works by eight artists who reimagine the 19th-century zoetrope, an early animation device that creates the illusion of motion through rapidly sequenced images. Interactive exhibits explore motion, perception, vision persistence and animation, and are included with museum admission.

The Comanche Nation Fair in Lawton features a powwow, parade, free concert, carnival, fun run, games and an art show. Visitors can also find arts and crafts from vendors around the country, along with a variety of food. The three-day event brings tribes together from across the nation, with traditional gourd and fire dancing featured during the powwow. Comanche Veterans will also be honored each day of the fair.

The annual Market in the Park in Harrah features a wide variety of arts and crafts, delicious barbecue and great live music. Head to Heritage Park this October and browse vendors from across the United States featuring handcrafted items such as jewelry, pottery, furniture, fine art and more. From home decor to accessories, there's something for everyone at Market in the Park. The kids will love the children's area with family-friendly activities, a large pumpkin page and much more fun. Don't forget to bring a big appetite for some delicious barbecue at the Pigs in the Park cook-off. Area cooks will compete for bragging rights and the chance to call their specific recipe the best.

Get into the fall season spirit in Blanchard at this festive shopping event. This annual bazaar will be full of vendors offering handmade wares, craft goods and home decor items. This event is hosted by the Blanchard Methodist Women.

Featuring over 60 animatronic dinosaurs, skeletons, photo ops, and rides - Dinosaur Expedition will engage guests with prehistoric creatures from the Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Triassic Periods. Identify which OKC Zoo animals are the living relatives of the dinosaurs that once roamed the earth, and how supporting the Zoo's conservation efforts can help save these species!

The Chickasaw Nation Annual Meeting and Festival will bring Chickasaw heritage, customs and culture to life in Tishomingo with a different schedule of events each day. Activities include an art and craft market, live music, storytelling, children’s activities, cultural demonstrations and classes, a parade, food trucks and more. Events will take place at the Chickasaw Nation Historic Capitol Building grounds throughout the festival.

Guests will explore the animated world of Dia de Muertos through a unique collection of 2 and 3-dimensional artwork. From the work of early pre-Hispanic cultures to the 21st century, Lives of the Dead offers 1000 years of artistic visions of the dead. The exhibition emphasizes current and vintage Latin American folk art. From Papier-mâché (cartoneria) skulls and skeletons created by the famous Linares family to the ceramic tableaux and Catrinas of Metepec, Lives of the Dead brings together some of Latin America’s most renowned folk artists. Other exhibition highlights include antique prints by Jose Guadalupe Posada, Manuel Manilla, and Dia de Muertos, as seen in contemporary paintings and prints from Mexico. Visitors will also experience the celebration and beliefs behind Dia de Muertos with the inclusion of an elaborate Mexican style ofrenda.

The Oklahoma History Center Museum, in partnership with the Vietnamese American Heritage Community of Oklahoma, is proud to announce Our Journeys, presented by Vietnamese Boat People, a multimedia traveling exhibition on display September 12, through January 4, 2027.

Created by New Jersey-based nonprofit Vietnamese Boat People, the exhibition centers the voices of Vietnamese Americans through oral histories, photographs, and interactive elements that explore migration, memory, and resilience across generations. The exhibit debuted in 2025, marking the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon and the displacement of millions of Vietnamese refugees whose stories continue to shape communities across the country—including here in Oklahoma.

The exhibition is included with regular museum admission.
