Celebrate the arrival of spring with the India Association of Oklahoma’s annual Holi Color Fest and Easter Egg Hunt at Mitch Park’s MAC Amphitheater. This family-friendly gathering uniquely blends two vibrant traditions into one afternoon of community fun. The event features a traditional Easter Egg hunt (free admission for all children) alongside the "Festival of Colors"—a high-energy celebration involving the tossing of bright, colorful powders. The Holi Color Play is free for IAOK members and available for a fee to non-members. Guests will enjoy live cultural performances, festive music by DJ Dimple, and local food vendors. It is an open invitation for the Oklahoma City and Edmond communities to bridge cultures and enjoy a multicultural fusion of spring festivities.

Written by Yvette Nolan and directed by Daniel Leeman Smith, The Birds reimagines Aristophanes’ classic comedy through an Indigenous lens. The story follows two unlikely heroes who flee the modern world in search of freedom, arriving in the mythical land of the birds. But their dream of utopia quickly falters as they attempt to reshape this paradise without considering those who already call it home.

Mini Masters is a Saturday art series for children ages 5–12, with sessions divided by age group to support different stages of creative development. Families may register for individual classes or enroll in multiple sessions throughout the series.

This class introduces young artists to pointillism through the work of Georges Seurat. Using dots, patterns, and bright color combinations, students will explore how small marks work together to build images. Through playful, hands-on projects, participants will experiment with
repetition and simple color relationships while developing focus, finemotor skills, and creative confidence.

The class emphasizes exploration and discovery, allowing students to learn through making in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Two unlikely heroes flee the modern world, arriving in the fabled land of the birds seeking freedom and a better way of life. But the men are unable to resist remaking this utopian paradise to their own liking, without regard for the inhabitants who already occupy the land. The Birds takes the classic Greek comedy by Aristophanes and reframes the play through an indigenous lens.

The Oklahoma Animal Coalition is asking Oklahomans to turn off non-essential outdoor lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. during spring migration season (March 15-May 31). Excessive outdoor lighting confuses birds as they migrate through the state, separating them from their flocks, causing collisions with buildings and powerlines, and getting lost in dangerous environments. Oklahoma City University presents Twisted Tales, a solo ceramics exhibition by artist Stuart Asprey. The show will be on display March 5 through May 14 at the Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery. The exhibition features two bodies of work that transform ceramic vessels into graphic storytelling pieces exploring memory, pop culture, and myth. An opening reception will be held March 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is free.

Each spring, a vibrant wave of color sweeps across downtown Oklahoma City as more than 60,000 tulips burst into bloom at Myriad Botanical Gardens. Now in its fourth year, the beloved Tulip Festival grows even bigger, expanding to a full week from March 28 through April 5, giving guests more time to experience one of the city’s most anticipated seasonal traditions.

Just a couple of blocks away, another 40,000 tulips blossom at our sister organization, Scissortail Park, creating an extraordinary floral display that stretches across downtown. Together, the parks showcase nearly 100,000 tulips in a dazzling spectrum of spring color.
