Scissortail Park will be home to a Farmers Market starting in April and running through October. Join us every Saturday morning, from 9 am to 11 pm, and peruse a variety of fresh produce and handcrafted items while supporting your local farmers!

Learn how to transform everyday kitchen scraps and yard waste into rich, healthy compost for your garden. This program covers the essentials of composting, including the basic guidelines for creating and maintaining a compost pile, what materials can and cannot be composted, and an overview of different composting methods from traditional piles, to tumblers, and vermicomposting. We'll also discuss the benefits and uses of compost tea to boost plant health. Perfect for adults interested in reducing waste, improving soil health, and cultivating a thriving garden.

Please note, this program is designed for adults but all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by their adult(s).

Join us on Saturday, October 25th for our Fall Open House! The Farm will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., for folks to discover the heart of our farm. Enjoy the beauty of the property as you embark on a self-guided tour to visit our pond, apiary, pollinator garden, and vegetable garden. Say hello to our friendly sheep, goats, donkeys, and horses along the way.

Come vote for your favorite scarecrow, October 25 from 9am to 2pm. Then tour the Cleveland County Master Gardners demonstration garden. We have over 40 small garden beds to enjoy.
