Pumpkinville: Road to Route 66 begins October 1 at Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City. The annual fall festival features thousands of pumpkins, seasonal displays, family activities and larger-than-life pumpkin murals inspired by iconic Route 66 landmarks, including Oklahoma’s Blue Whale of Catoosa and POPS Arcadia. Pumpkinville runs through October 25, with hours varying by day.
The Oklahoma History Center Museum, in partnership with the Vietnamese American Heritage Community of Oklahoma, is proud to announce Our Journeys, presented by Vietnamese Boat People, a multimedia traveling exhibition on display September 12, through January 4, 2027.
Created by New Jersey-based nonprofit Vietnamese Boat People, the exhibition centers the voices of Vietnamese Americans through oral histories, photographs, and interactive elements that explore migration, memory, and resilience across generations. The exhibit debuted in 2025, marking the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon and the displacement of millions of Vietnamese refugees whose stories continue to shape communities across the country—including here in Oklahoma.
The exhibition is included with regular museum admission.
Explore a monumental outdoor installation by Oklahoma City–based artists Denise Duong and Gabriel Friedman that transforms Campbell Art Park into a site of story, symbolism, and discovery. Conceived as a constellation of six sculptural forms, including a head, a hand, and four birdlike spheres, the work invites viewers to enter a world where order and chaos intertwine.
Frontier City's annual Fright Fest returns select nights this fall, with many activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy Macabre Mazes like the Cadaver Castle and Terror of Prosperity, as well as Sinister Scare Zones such as Clown Town and the Silent Night Slaughterhouse. Don't forget to check out Undead Entertainment at The Cremation and Deadman's Party! No-boo necklaces are available for those who do not wish to be scared by actors.
Come select the perfect pumpkins to decorate your home at the Pumpkin Patch in Stillwater. Over 3,600 pumpkins will be for sale over the course of this seasonal attraction. There will also be special events each weekend including live music, children's carnival, bake sale, pancake breakfast, carriage rides, and trick-or-treat at the pumpkin patch.

The Wicked Forest of Terror offers several Halloween experiences this fall. The Adult Haunt is a scare attraction recommended for ages 13 and up.
For younger children, Tiny Terror is a family-friendly, non-horror walkthrough with no actors, taking place October 17 and 24.
Blackout Night takes place November 1, challenging guests to make their way through the forest in complete darkness with only a lantern to guide them.

Science Museum Oklahoma presents Spin! The Art of the Modern Zoetrope, now on display in the museum’s smART Space galleries through August 2027. The exhibition features works by eight artists who reimagine the 19th-century zoetrope, an early animation device that creates the illusion of motion through rapidly sequenced images. Interactive exhibits explore motion, perception, vision persistence and animation, and are included with museum admission.
Chester's Pumpkin Patch offers visitors over 25 fun-filled acres to explore in Piedmont. Visitors of all ages can enjoy hayrides, corn mazes, barn games, a petting zoo and more! The pumpkin patch is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm Monday-Saturday, opening at 1 pm on Sundays. On the weekends, attendees can catch a variety of live music and performances.
Featuring over 60 animatronic dinosaurs, skeletons, photo ops, and rides - Dinosaur Expedition will engage guests with prehistoric creatures from the Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Triassic Periods. Identify which OKC Zoo animals are the living relatives of the dinosaurs that once roamed the earth, and how supporting the Zoo's conservation efforts can help save these species!
