Guests will explore the animated world of Dia de Muertos through a unique collection of 2 and 3-dimensional artwork. From the work of early pre-Hispanic cultures to the 21st century, Lives of the Dead offers 1000 years of artistic visions of the dead. The exhibition emphasizes current and vintage Latin American folk art. From Papier-mâché (cartoneria) skulls and skeletons created by the famous Linares family to the ceramic tableaux and Catrinas of Metepec, Lives of the Dead brings together some of Latin America’s most renowned folk artists. Other exhibition highlights include antique prints by Jose Guadalupe Posada, Manuel Manilla, and Dia de Muertos, as seen in contemporary paintings and prints from Mexico. Visitors will also experience the celebration and beliefs behind Dia de Muertos with the inclusion of an elaborate Mexican style ofrenda.

The Oklahoma History Center Museum, in partnership with the Vietnamese American Heritage Community of Oklahoma, is proud to announce Our Journeys, presented by Vietnamese Boat People, a multimedia traveling exhibition on display September 12, through January 4, 2027.

Created by New Jersey-based nonprofit Vietnamese Boat People, the exhibition centers the voices of Vietnamese Americans through oral histories, photographs, and interactive elements that explore migration, memory, and resilience across generations. The exhibit debuted in 2025, marking the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon and the displacement of millions of Vietnamese refugees whose stories continue to shape communities across the country—including here in Oklahoma.

The exhibition is included with regular museum admission.

Explore a monumental outdoor installation by Oklahoma City–based artists Denise Duong and Gabriel Friedman that transforms Campbell Art Park into a site of story, symbolism, and discovery. Conceived as a constellation of six sculptural forms, including a head, a hand, and four birdlike spheres, the work invites viewers to enter a world where order and chaos intertwine.

Come select the perfect pumpkins to decorate your home at the Pumpkin Patch in Stillwater. Over 3,600 pumpkins will be for sale over the course of this seasonal attraction. There will also be special events each weekend including live music, children's carnival, bake sale, pancake breakfast, carriage rides, and trick-or-treat at the pumpkin patch.

TwisterFest is an annual two-day music festival at Muscle Car Ranch in Chickasha, Oklahoma. The 2026 festival takes place Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26 with more than 40 bands on four stages. Friday music begins at 4:30 PM, and Saturday music begins at noon. The weekend also includes a classic car and truck show, Texas Championship Pro Wrestling at 5 PM Saturday, food and merchandise vendors, camping and a huge Saturday night bonfire. Enjoy Oklahoma City's West Village District during the monthly Fourth Fridays event. Each month between May and October, this event will feature live music, local food, sidewalk activities, pop-up markets and more. Enjoy this family friendly-event with new attractions each time.

Noche de Sueños is a free community art expo celebrating Latino and Latina artists, culture, and creativity in Oklahoma City. The event will feature over 25 local Latino and Latina artists showcasing visual artwork centered around identity, storytelling, heritage, and community. Guests can also enjoy traditional Mexican dance performances, lowriders displayed outside the venue, and local food trucks serving a variety of Latino cuisines. The event is open to all ages and free to the public.
