We’re bringing stories to life with Stories & Specimens at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History! In this engaging program, children are invited to gather for a lively story time, where fascinating tales spark curiosity and set the stage for exploration. Each session dives into a themed topic, connecting stories to science and cultural history with museum objects that let kids see, touch, and discover in our interactive Discovery Room. Best of all, Stories & Specimens is included free with museum admission, making it the perfect way for young learners to enjoy interactive storytelling and hands-on exploration all in one visit!
Not just for stories about the NCAA men's basketball tournament! This OKC StorySLAM is an opportunity to tell stories about those times in life when things were completely out of control and chaotic beyond comprehension. Come tell about the madness you witnessed...and how you survived it! Founded in 2005, the OKC StorySLAM is a regular community open-mic storytelling event that’s open to all 21+ folks. Stories must be true, 7 minutes or less, somehow linked to the theme of “March Madness”, and told without notes.The audience will vote for their favorite stories of the night, and winners will be awarded amazing handmade trophies, sponsor gifts, and lots of praise.No fee to attend. Sign up begins at 6:30
