The story follows two unlikely heroes who flee the modern world in search of freedom, arriving in the mythical land of the birds. But their dream of utopia quickly falters as they attempt to reshape this paradise without considering those who already call it home.

Two unlikely heroes flee the modern world, arriving in the fabled land of the birds seeking freedom and a better way of life. But the men are unable to resist remaking this utopian paradise to their own liking, without regard for the inhabitants who already occupy the land. The Birds takes the classic Greek comedy by Aristophanes and reframes the play through an indigenous lens.

The Oklahoma Animal Coalition is asking Oklahomans to turn off non-essential outdoor lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. during spring migration season (March 15-May 31). Excessive outdoor lighting confuses birds as they migrate through the state, separating them from their flocks, causing collisions with buildings and powerlines, and getting lost in dangerous environments. Get to know Norman's aerial inhabitants this April at the Sam Noble Museum's Bird Watching event. You'll get an up-close look at the area's native bird specimens before embarking on a nature walk led by knowledgeable experts who will provide fascinating insights into the birds. You'll learn how to identify species by both sight and sound during this educational outdoor event. Binoculars will be provided, so don't miss your chance to see the amazing animals that call the skies above us home at the Sam Noble Museum's Bird Watching event this April.

Oklahoma City University presents Twisted Tales, a solo ceramics exhibition by artist Stuart Asprey. The show will be on display March 5 through May 14 at the Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery. The exhibition features two bodies of work that transform ceramic vessels into graphic storytelling pieces exploring memory, pop culture, and myth. An opening reception will be held March 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is free.

Each spring, a vibrant wave of color sweeps across downtown Oklahoma City as more than 60,000 tulips burst into bloom at Myriad Botanical Gardens. Now in its fourth year, the beloved Tulip Festival grows even bigger, expanding to a full week from March 28 through April 5, giving guests more time to experience one of the city’s most anticipated seasonal traditions.

Just a couple of blocks away, another 40,000 tulips blossom at our sister organization, Scissortail Park, creating an extraordinary floral display that stretches across downtown. Together, the parks showcase nearly 100,000 tulips in a dazzling spectrum of spring color.

Featuring over 60 animatronic dinosaurs, skeletons, photo ops, and rides - Dinosaur Expedition will engage guests with prehistoric creatures from the Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Triassic Periods. Identify which OKC Zoo animals are the living relatives of the dinosaurs that once roamed the earth, and how supporting the Zoo's conservation efforts can help save these species!

The Made in Oklahoma Festival in Seminole is a great opportunity to browse food, wine, crafts and a number of other products that are Oklahoma grown and Oklahoma made. Local crafters will display and sell their homemade wares, and a wide assortment of food vendors will offer delicious eats on Main Street. Festivities will also include the popular wine-tasting tent for sampling locally-produced wines, a golf tournament, a spaghetti dinner and a car show. Celebrate the products of this great state by attending the Made in Oklahoma Festival. You never know what you might find.
