Enjoy an afternoon of art-making with us! Make a light box, join a Family Gallery Chat, and explore an Art Pack full of engaging activities for all ages. All Second Saturday activities are free and open to the public.

Every autumn, hundreds of thousands of monarch butterflies embark on an incredible, multi-generational journey from Canada, traveling through Oklahoma on their way to Mexico. They fly over our city streets, through our parks and even visit our yards! Monarch populations have tragically and sharply declined since the 1990s. Many efforts are being made to support the survival of these beloved butterflies, including tagging. 
Monarch tagging is utilized to track monarch flight pathways, survival rates, identify critical habitat, and more. Tagging is a simple way we can work together as a community to contribute crucial data to the teams of people working to protect our flying friends. 
Edmond Urban Forestry and Okies for Monarchs invite you to join a hands-on community science event in which you can play an active role in helping save this magnificent species! Dr. Emily Geest, ecologist and butterfly conservationist, will be sharing her knowledge as well. Join us for an afternoon of learning and monarch tagging. 

Enjoy Happy Hour as you learn to design and carve out your very own aluminum tile! Taught by OU Sculpture Tech extrordinaire Andy Denton, this fun and easy workshop will go through the basics of making a simple scratch mold.

Your mold will then be cast at Metal Shop on October 16 to create a custom aluminum tile for you to keep. Workshop fee $30

The Castle of Muskogee presents the Haunted Castle Halloween Festival — Oklahoma’s top-rated Halloween event, transforming every October into a thrilling Halloween village. With 11 uniquely themed haunted attractions, delicious food, creepy shops, and live entertainment, it’s a must-visit fall festival for families and thrill seekers alike!

Open Fridays and Saturdays from October 2 through October 31, the village offers something for everyone — gather around eerie fireside tales, explore our Halloween marketplace, or test your courage in scare-rated attractions. From the family-friendly Haunted Hayride to the intense Trail of Blood, every path offers a new level of fright!

Festival admission is included with any haunted attraction ticket or combo bundle. Just coming to enjoy the Halloween village atmosphere, food, and shopping? Festival-Only Admission is just $5. And if you decide you’re feeling brave once you’re inside, your $5 Festival-Only Admission can be applied toward the purchase of a haunted attraction ticket!

Whether you’re chasing cozy fall vibes or full-throttle fear, the Haunted Castle is where Halloween lives! Just a short drive from Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Northwest Arkansas, it’s one of the most popular Halloween festivals in the region.

The Wicked Forest of Terror offers several Halloween experiences this fall. The Adult Haunt is a scare attraction recommended for ages 13 and up.

For younger children, Tiny Terror is a family-friendly, non-horror walkthrough with no actors, taking place October 17 and 24.

Blackout Night takes place November 1, challenging guests to make their way through the forest in complete darkness with only a lantern to guide them.

Guthrie Haunts is now considered a Super Haunt Covering over 30,000 sq feet of indoor and outdoor scares!!!

We would love to invite all of Oklahoma City, Edmond and Guthrie to the best and most frightening Halloween Haunted House to hit the area in 30 years.. Its on Hwy 77 just passed the Cimmeron Bridge.

Make your way through the backwoods county side, down the old farm road to the abandon summer camp. Opened in 1979 closed shortly after the night the camp was plagued with strange occurrences, disappearances, and murders. No one is sure why but any attempt to reopen the camp seams to cause a repeat of its deadly history.

Can you survive a walk through the Lexington Zombie Farm? Get ready to encounter things that go bump in the night, as well as the undead, as you take a walk through the woods of this Lexington haunted attraction. Zombies and ghouls have taken over this farm land and are out to grab a tasty dinner. On black-out night, brave the farm in total darkness, or come out for touch and grab night, when zombies will pick you up and move you while you amble along the pitch black farm.

Chosen as one of the top ten haunts in Oklahoma, each evening the Lexington Zombie Farm is open also includes food trucks, photography sessions by appointment with a professional photographer and a Facebook photograph taken of all of the "survivors" who make it through the attraction in its entirety.

Science Museum Oklahoma presents Spin! The Art of the Modern Zoetrope, now on display in the museum’s smART Space galleries through August 2027. The exhibition features works by eight artists who reimagine the 19th-century zoetrope, an early animation device that creates the illusion of motion through rapidly sequenced images. Interactive exhibits explore motion, perception, vision persistence and animation, and are included with museum admission.
