For August, our guests from Red Dirt Oklahoma Search and Recovery will be sharing information with us on safety and survival if someone becomes lost in the outdoors. In this come-and-go style program, we will also have the opportunity to learn more about the incredible work that Red Dirt OSAR does in our state.
► Parents and children can learn tips and tricks for what to do if someone gets lost in nature.
► Meet the search and recovery team, including some of the dogs! Since there will be search and recovery dogs present, we ask that you please leave your pups at home for this program.
► We will be outdoors in Oklahoma in August; remember to dress weather-appropriate, and don't forget essentials like drinking water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug repellant.
► Pick up a Nature Journal and Activity Book to use the next time you go exploring!

"Discovering Ansel Adams" features over 100 photographs that share Adams’s most celebrated works while revealing aspects of his development that are frequently overlooked. Together with original archival materials from the Center of Creative Photography’s Ansel Adams Archive, these photographs demonstrate how Adams transformed from a fourteen-year-old tourist with a camera into a renowned photographer between 1916 and the 1940s. Along the way, photographic prints from his early visits to the American Southwest, his mountaineering experiences as a young man, and his quest to photograph America’s national parks will enchant visitors.
